May was another exciting and productive month for the FMS team, filled with project delivery, site improvements, client events and community initiatives. From large scale refurbishment works and safety upgrades to team bonding activities and charity fundraising, the month showcased the dedication, versatility and culture that continue to drive FMS forward.
Commercial Projects and Site Improvements
Throughout May, our teams continued delivering a wide range of maintenance and improvement works across client sites.
One of our projects this month included a commercial building drainage upgrade, helping to improve rainwater management and site functionality.
We also began an extensive dilapidation project with one of our clients moving out of their commercial property. The works included removal of glass & partition walls, painting, decorating, flooring and wider restoration works to bring the property back to how it was when they moved in.
Alongside these larger projects, the team also completed a variety of additional site improvement works throughout the month. This included fence repairs and replacement installations after previously damaged fencing had become unsafe and been blown over by strong winds. The newly installed fencing is far more durable and helps secure the area from public access.
We also carried out graffiti removal and cleaning works on a bike shed, restoring the appearance and improving the overall environment for site users. Further maintenance works included manhole cover repairs and block paving repairs to improve both safety and accessibility across client sites.
Additional operational improvements included new barrier installations to strengthen site safety and security, as well as forklift truck charger installations to support day to day warehouse operations. The team also completed racking installations, carefully removing and reinstating stored items into the new systems to minimise disruption for the client.
Fire safety remained a key priority throughout May, with works including the installation of a new fire alarm panel, fire door remedial works and the installation of new fire doors to ensure sites remain compliant and safe.
We have also completed a vast high level internal clean and a significant drainage survey for a new client located out of our usual geographical location.
To complete the month, line marking works were carried out to improve organisation across operational areas, while cable management improvements helped create cleaner and more professional spaces by carefully hiding and organising exposed wiring.
Spending Time With Clients at the SportsAid Event
This month, we were proud to attend the SportsAid event, which FMS co-sponsors. It was a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with our clients outside of project environments and strengthen the relationships we continue to build across the industry.
Events like these are always valuable as they allow us to connect in a more relaxed setting while supporting an important initiative.
Attending Industry Events
May also included several opportunities for the team to attend industry events and network with businesses across the region.
Ayden and Bradley attended the Red Bull Racing event, Autofixa Live 2026, where they had the chance to experience one of the biggest automotive events of the year and connect with others across the sector.
Dan also represented FMS at the MK Business Leaders breakfast event, continuing to strengthen relationships within the local business community and explore future opportunities for collaboration.
Team Bonding at Simply Race
At FMS, we understand the importance of maintaining a strong team culture alongside delivering high quality work for our clients.
This month, the team headed to Simply Race for a team bonding session packed with competition, energy and plenty of laughs. Safe to say the competitive spirit definitely came out, with everyone determined to claim bragging rights on the track.
Team activities like these are a great way to strengthen relationships across the business and celebrate the hard work everyone continues to put in each month.
Supporting Harry’s Rainbow Through the Ultra Challenge
A huge congratulations goes to Matty, who this month completed the incredible 100k Ultra Challenge walk from London to Brighton in support of Harry’s Rainbow.
Taking on such a demanding challenge during a heatwave is an amazing achievement, and we are incredibly proud of his determination and commitment to raising awareness and support for such an important charity.
Everyone at FMS would like to congratulate Matty on absolutely smashing the challenge.
Launching the #FMSVIPSelfie Campaign
This month also saw the launch of our brand new social campaign, #FMSVIPSelfie.
Ashley and Brad attended the SME Celebrations event where they kicked off the campaign by taking selfies with attendees and spreading the word about the competition.
The concept is simple, take a selfie with a member of the FMS team, post it on LinkedIn using the hashtag #FMSVIPSelfie, and you will be entered for the chance to win a VIP box for four people at Milton Keynes Theatre.
The campaign has already generated fantastic engagement, and we are looking forward to seeing even more entries over the coming months.
Looking Ahead
As we move into June, we remain focused on delivering high quality projects for our clients while continuing to invest in our team, our partnerships and our local community.
Thank you to our clients, partners and colleagues for your continued support throughout another busy and successful month at FMS. We look forward to sharing more updates with you next month.
