June at FMS: Projects, Progress & People
June has been another busy and productive month for the FMS team. We’ve delivered a wide range of commercial projects, continued essential maintenance works, improved workplace environments for key clients, and taken part in several networking events across the region.
Here’s a full look back at what we’ve been working on throughout June.
Connecting with the Local Business Community
June was a strong month for networking and business development, with the team attending a range of events across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.
Bradley and Ayden attended the MK City Breakfast Event, Dunstable Buzz, and Meet of MK hosted by MKFM, giving them the opportunity to connect with local businesses, strengthen relationships, and build new connections across the region.
Brad and Dan also attended Prop Connect Northampton and the MK Dons Fixture Release Breakfast, continuing to build relationships within the property and commercial sectors.
We also attended Your Business Expo, where we exhibited and showcased our facilities management services, speaking with businesses from across multiple industries and discussing upcoming opportunities.
Dan attended the MK Dons Executive Lunch at Stadium MK, along with a cyber security workshop, where he gained valuable insights into current cyber security risks and practical ways businesses can strengthen their resilience.
Alongside these events, we’ve also been in meetings with key stakeholders to discuss several large-scale construction projects. While still in early stages, these discussions represent exciting future opportunities for the business.
To finish the month, Lolah and Matt attended the Franklins 50 Awards Night, celebrating the fundraising achievements of businesses across Milton Keynes, Northampton and surrounding areas. This year saw 56 teams raise £49,353 for 12 local charities, and we were proud to support and celebrate such a fantastic initiative.
Transforming Commercial Spaces
Workplace transformation projects remained a key focus throughout June.
Bradley successfully completed a dilapidations project for a key client, restoring and transforming the space ready for handover. The project required careful planning and delivery to ensure the building was returned to the required standard.
We also removed an internal partition wall for another key client office, opening up the space and creating a brighter, more collaborative working environment with improved natural light.
Acoustic improvements were also carried out for a key client, where we installed wall panels to resolve issues with echo and poor sound quality during Teams meetings. The result is a quieter, more productive workspace.
In addition, we installed window film samples for another key client, allowing them to compare finishes and select the best option for privacy, glare reduction, and overall appearance.
Keeping Businesses Safe & Secure
Safety and security remained a priority throughout June.
We completed two Armco barrier installations, one external and one within a warehouse. These installations help protect pedestrian routes, buildings, and newly installed forklift charging areas.
We also installed new palisade fencing for a key client, providing a strong perimeter security solution designed to improve site protection and long-term safety.
Maintenance & Essential Works
Our maintenance teams continued to deliver essential works across multiple sites.
We carried out roof and gutter clearance works, ensuring drainage systems were clear and fully operational to prevent potential water damage.
Trench works were also completed as part of a local infrastructure project, supporting ongoing development works in the area.
A damaged glazed unit replacement was carried out for a key client within the hospitality sector, restoring both appearance and performance of the building.
We also replaced air conditioning units for a key manufacturing client, improving cooling efficiency and ensuring a comfortable working environment during the warmer weather.
Looking Ahead
June has been another strong month for FMS, combining project delivery, maintenance works, and continued engagement within the local business community.
As we move into July, we’re looking forward to building on this momentum, delivering upcoming projects, and continuing to support our clients with high-quality facilities management services.
A big thank you to our clients, partners, and team for another successful month.
