Supporting MK Food Bank Across the Sites We Look After

This April, we’re supporting MK Food Bank by rolling out food donation collections across a number of the sites we manage.

Working alongside PGS Group, we’re aiming to make it as simple as possible for teams to contribute, by bringing donation points directly into the workplaces we support.

About MK Food Bank

MK Food Bank provides short-term crisis support and care for individuals and families across Milton Keynes.

Demand for their services continues to grow:

  • Over 20,000 food parcels distributed in 2025
  • A 21% increase compared to 2024
  • More than 4,500 households supported

These emergency food parcels contain essential long-life items designed to provide meals for three days, offering immediate support to those facing difficult circumstances.

Making It Work On Site

Across the sites we support, we’re placing donation crates in staff kitchens and communal areas for one week at a time.

This makes it easy for teams to get involved as part of their normal working day, whether that’s bringing in a few items from their weekly shop or contributing something they already have at home.

We provide everything needed, including posters and donation guidance, and handle all collections and delivery to MK Food Bank.

There’s no disruption to site operations, just a simple, structured way to support a local cause.

Why This Approach Works

In facilities management, we’re used to working within live environments where simplicity and practicality matter.

By integrating donation points into existing spaces, participation becomes easy and accessible and that’s what drives engagement.

It’s not about asking for large individual contributions. It’s about creating an opportunity for lots of small actions across multiple sites.

A Collective Effort Across Our Network

Each site may only collect a modest number of items, but collectively, the impact builds quickly.

It’s been great to see teams getting involved and supporting the initiative so far.
