We are incredibly proud to announce that Facilities Management Solutions is the latest local business to join the Milton Keynes Community Foundation as Business Members, in conjunction with our support to their Cost of Living Appeal.
The MKCF has been a client of FMS’ for a while, and we have supported them with a wide variety of projects and maintenance to ensure that their site is running smoothly – but, we wanted to take that support one step further.
Giving Back is at the heart of everything we do, and engaging with local charities is something very important to us, so we have proudly donated to their new Cost of Living Campaign, which in 2024 is centred around ‘Invisible Poverty’.
Our Operations Director, Dan Cole, said: “As we already support the Community Foundation with their building management, we’ve had ample opportunity to see the fantastic – and important – work that they do.”

“When the MKCF team shared this year’s theme of their Cost of Living campaign, we thought it was very powerful, and it was our absolute pleasure to play even a small part in supporting those in Milton Keynes affected by poverty. It’s now our aim to help raise awareness and get other organisations involved and supporting the great work they do across our city”
Through our support of this appeal, we have also become Business Members, and we are now proudly displaying our certificate of membership in our PGS Group office.
As the Community Foundation shine a light on Invisible Poverty, they highlight that not all poverty is obvious from the outside looking in.
'Most Struggles Are Happening Behind Closed Doors.'
This could take the form of a colleague who works alongside you but who needs to visit the Food Bank because they can’t afford dinner, or it could be an elderly neighbour or relative who is too ashamed to invite family round because they can’t afford to heat their home.
Our Managing Director, Carl Yeomanson, said: “This campaign is powerful and eye-opening. You never know what other people around you are going through.
“We are grateful for this opportunity, through the MK Community Foundation, to help combat the Cost of Living crisis and try and support our local community, in Milton Keynes.”
